Managing slowdown: Brands embrace innovative tactics to keep consumers happy

Two months ago if you had looked and weighed closely, you might have noticed a pack of Parle-G being lighter and a few short. That's because the biggest biscuit brand in the country, as well as the world, opted to bake smaller biscuits and pack in fewer, to hold the price. It was a move to counter rising input costs and a slowdown in consumption.

Brands much like people do what they must to survive, and if they can, thrive at a time when the wheels of the economy slow down a notch or four. Android goes political with Modi Run, Aap Run and Angry Indians apps

Modi Run, by Dexati Developers, has been downloaded more than half a million times. In Aam Run, a game the developer Greedy Game Media says is developed with the support and permission of the Aam Aadmi Party, the gameplay involves helping a character that resembles Arvind Kejriwal jump and duck through a series of obstacles such as police barricades, water cannons and black money. Periodically you have to clear the Jhaadu bar to progress. The jhaadu (broom) is the election symbol of the AAP.

"Apps when used well are a wonderful strategy. There is more engagement, interactivity, sharability, etc. If done in conjunction with ads, the cost of reaching people comes down as well.

The Importance Of Content In Marketing Strategy

At the heart of every marketing strategy lies a piece of purposeful and compelling content. From a business’ search engine rankings to its social media analytics to its webinar views, content is the puppeteer behind the theatrics.
That’s just the beginning of content’s magic.
Recently, sales teams have taken a seat next to marketers on the content wagon, utilizing content to do some of the heavy lifting in terms of generating and qualifying leads. Not surprisingly, it’s working. Content is saving salespeople time and money while also bringing in quality leads and working buyers through the sales funnel.
